Update To Android 8

The Update to Android 8 app is designed to allow users to update from older versions at their discretion. The Oreo 8.0 and 8.1 versions of the Android OS was released in August 2017 and included many updates over earlier versions. Some of these updates included:

• Snooze Notifications are accessed by swiping horizontally by the gear icon; this

will show a little clock; if you tap that clock, there are new snooze options

available.

• Auto-Enable Wi-Fi, which automatically enables Wi-Fi when you are in range.

• Picture-in-picture (Native Split-Screen support), which allows users to continue

watching YouTube or another video while accessing another app.

• Smart Text Selection (Artificial Intelligence) gives the user quick options when

selecting text. If you choose a phone number, the Oreo version will provide

options to call, copy, share, or select all.
